Non-Asbestos Gland Packing

MAS Sealing Systems offers Non-Asbestos Gland Packing, MAS-21. It is a combination of PTFE/graphite on surfaces and corners of aramid fibres. It is one of the toughest fibres and it has single molecular PTFE graphite yarn at the faces. The advantage of the self-lubricating material is low friction, good heat conduction, very good chemical resistance, very high dimensional stability, broad temperature and pressure range. This combination means that there is no loss of lubrication of material volume due to gland compression, heat generation fluid actions or chemical tack. This also contains specially imported silicone oils to keep it soft resilient and help fluid loss due to surface tension. These are designed to minimise gland attention and prevents wear to shafts and sleeves with a consequent increase in packing life. The abrasion resistance and inertness of combined with excellent compression, stability of the combination makes it a unique packing for all acids, alkalis, organic, inorganic, solvents, slurries, salts, etc. This packing withstands very high pressure and offers excellent sealing at high temperature with good heat dissipation and lubricity. It is ideal for abrasive fluids and reciprocating services.
