Laser welder jewellery/ mould and die repairs

Sisma manufactures manual laser welder Laserman 50. It is a high power, high repeat-rate laser welder designed for jewellery manufacture and mould and die repairs. The maximum power is better than 85 joules, and repeat rate can be set from "single shot" to 10 shots per second. Any metal may be easily welded to any other metal. Platinum, gold, steel, titanium, as well as silver (traditionally considered a difficult metal to laser-weld) are optimally welded. This low maintenance, user-friendly laser welder can achieve a spot diameter from 0.2 to 2 mm at high speed. German optics ensure accurate spot diameter without penumbra. It has a 100-program memory with graphic display on all working parameters. For clear operation, a clear display shows all-important parameters. Normally fitted with a Leica optical stereomicroscope, the unit can additionally be supplied with a full-colour video microscope, or a 3-D large view display. All main operating functions can be set from a mobile console with encoder built in the workstation, like a mouse. All this helps keep operator fatigue to a minimum and ensuring standards of workmanship and in full safety. Cooling and other functions are self-contained, with nothing extra to be added by the user. A computer interface is fitted to allow diagnostics through any computer. A modem is provided to transmit all the test results to the manufacturer.
