Trinity Interface Systems offers Laser Diffuse Sensors, OHDM 12. Special features; excellent background suppression irrespective of colour; sensing distance reduction 1 mm (less than 1%) across the entire measuring range of 120 mm; recognition of smallest steps and thinnest objects on a conveyor even when colours change extremely. Features and benefits: for the two laser diffuse sensors OHDM 12 and OHDM 20, no background can interfere with the proper detection of the object at any distance within the sensing range; normally, diffuse sensors, even those with background suppression have a substantial shift of the switching point between black and white at the end of the detection range; and sometimes poorly reflective objects are not detected at all. This makes it impossible to detect dark objects against a light background when there are only a few millimeters behind the object.
