Horizontal spindle rotary table surface grinder from Champkraft Machine Tools is manufactured with a well designed base made of conditioned close grain casting to prevent vibration and distortions. Guideways made of Turcite (bronze Teflon) are hand scraped to match corresponding surfaces of table slides. The rigid wheel head spindle is made of hardened and ground alloy steel housed in white metal adjustable type bush bearing. Oil holes are provided for lubrication of bearing surfaces. On the hydraulic traverse system, the wheel head reciprocates hydraulically on a precision scraped guideways. The reciprocating speed is adjustable by hydraulic valve (hydraulic motor of 1 HP). Specifications: wheel head - 2000 RPM; grinding wheel dia - 300 mm; width - 25 mm; bore - 76.2 mm; spindle motor - 3 HP; rotary table - spindle is housed with precision adjustable bronze bush bearing with 2 speed motor; power is transmitted by worm and worm gear; and coolant - generous coolant supply increase the cutting rate and improves the grinding finish.
