Contamination Control Breathers

Earth Tekniks offers Contamination Control Breathers, R Series. These breathers are a unique, patented air filter and vapour removal system. They replace the standard breather or vent cap on virtually all types of industrial equipment, storage tanks, and transformers. They prevent destructive contaminants from entering fluid reservoirs and tanks as air is breathed in and out due to thermal expansion or fluid level changes. Fluid contamination is one of the primary causes of component wear and lubricant failure in industrial equipment. Models are available to meet the requirements of most industrial applications. These offer protection for all enclosed fluid systems; remove water vapour and abrasive particles; reduce component wear; prolong fluid life; and reduce maintenance costs. Applications are for reservoirs, gearboxes, transformers, storage tanks, etc. This R Series group of breathers are specially intended for applications where gearboxes and reservoirs are subjected to continuous vibration, such as railroad maintenance equipment, off-road vehicles, and mining equipment. They incorporate a metal reinforcing plate in the bottom cap and a threaded steel connector for mounting. A replacement desiccant cartridge easily screws into the reinforced bottom cap.
