Bimetal Thermostats

MRK Engineers offers Bimetal Thermostats, Models ISQA, ISQB and ISQC, developed after extensive R&D to address the requirements of durability, rigidity of body and ease of mounting. These bimetal thermostats are the newest models in the range. Each bimetal thermostat has a solid machined aluminium body to provide greater strength. Due to the metal body, these bimetal thermostats have better heat sensing capability than ordinary thermal overload protectors. Mounting arrangements: all the three models have different mounting arrangements to suit the customers’ needs. Special features: aluminium body for strength better heat sensing; snap action for quick make and break switching; chattering free and precise operating characteristics; solid silver contacts for long life; sealed body resistant to moisture, gases, fumes and varnish; lead wires are Teflon insulated; available with normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) contacts, 230 V/24 V, 8 A; and available for any trip temperature required from 50°C to 160°C. Applications of thermal cut-out: heating moulds, welding equipment and gas pre-heaters; motor overheat and burnout protection – all sizes (single and 3-phase), automotive and lightings, transformer overheat and burnout protection (all sizes), bearing and bushes overheat sensors; industrial electronics – overheat protection of thyristors, power transistors, SCRs, etc; and industrial machinery, heat sinks over temperature sensor, surface heaters, oven thermostats
