Air Wipe System, Ring-Blade

KJN Enterprises offers a compressed air operated Ring Blade™ Wiping System. This finds wide applications in many industries and is particularly used where the product needs to be cleaned 360º along its outer surface as it moves along the manufacturing process. The Ring-Blade air wipe system produces a “laminar” flow of air along its 360º inner diameter using the “Coanda” effect, which “entrains” a large volume of air from the surrounding area along with the small amount of compressed air from the Ring-Blade air wipe system to produce an output flow amplified up to 30 times. This amplification of air helps reduce both compressed air consumption and noise levels compared to drilled pipes or rows of nozzles. Payback on compressed air savings can be as soon as a few weeks in some applications. Ring Blade is used to remove moisture, dirt, dust, etc., from the objects’ outer diameter as it moves along the manufacturing line. Some typical industries where these systems find use are: cable and wire manufacturing; plastic or metal extrusion pipe manufacturing; welding wire manufacturing; thread and rope manufacturing; and conduit and flexible pipe manufacturing, etc.
