Electro-Lifting Magnet for Wire Coils

SGM Magnetics offers electro-lifting magnet for wire coils. Facilitating the moment of wire coils by a single operator from the crane cabin, or by remote control, the electro-lifting magnet for wire coils inflicts no damage to the wire coils. Appropriately shaped pole shoes limit contact to the coil upper surface. In case of high duty cycles, or high temperatures, the use of anodised aluminium as an electrical conductor, and specific resins provide the SGM magnets with outstanding heat dissipation capabilities. Operator can learn of critical thermal situations through the continuous monitoring of magnet internal temperature by a magnet electronic control system. Also capable of handling a loosely wound coil, the electro-lifting magnet enables more wire coils to be stacked at a given location. The extra deep magnetic field of the SGM magnets for lifting wire coils makes that the magnets can accommodate a large extent of coils that are not properly wound. Fewer manoeuvres are required with respect to C-Hook and fewer precautions are required to avoid damage to the coil. Storage space is optimised as contact and approach is limited to the upper part of the Coils. The electro-lifting magnet for coils is designed and manufactured according to European standards EN 13155.
