Mech-Well Industries offers a range of Expansion Joints. An expansion joint is a device used to allow movements in a duct system. It is designed to take care of thermal expansion, pressure pulsation, vibrations, movements, etc. The company offers design, manufacture, supply and installation of fabric as well as metallic expansion joints, in various types of materials to suit temperatures up to 1000ºC and pressure of 2000 mmWC and more, guaranteed for 20,000 to 50,000 running hours. Fabric expansion joints: fabric or non-metallic expansion joints are flexible connectors, which provide relief to ducts, stressed due to the thermal changes. They absorb shocks, take care of lateral and axial movements and isolate vibrations. Sometimes they even make up for minor misalignments. Fabric selection considerations include parameters like temperatures, pressure, axial and lateral movements, flow media, etc. The company has supplied and installed more than 1000 joints covering applications in areas of gas turbines, flue gas, process industries like cement, sugar, food, etc. It offers a wide range of special fabrics for different applications – PTFE laminated fibreglass composites are designed for dry flue gas service. A 0.005” PTFE barrier is laminated to composite to produce rugged material.
