Opacity Tester

Shree Ganesh Plastingeers offers an opacity tester. Optical properties for plastics material have been used for aestheticism in most of applications, but of late it has gained technical significance owing to its exploitation in field. Opacity has thus become important to be measured quantitatively rather than qualitatively. It is defined as resistance to transmission of incident light offered by a medium. The measurement employs a device to measure any quantity whatever small in magnitude of incident light transmitted on the other side of a media. The incident source and measurement sensors are standardized. The tester is compact, sleek and accurate, which can be used as a benchtop model or onsite model. The electronics and other components are of standard make for higher reliability. The circuits are a result of in-house R & D. Specifications: power requirement - 230 V AC, 50 Hz; single phase; measurement range - 0-100%; specimen size - 50 mm x 50 mm up to 7 mm thick; and measurement accuracy - 0.1% read-out - digital electronics.
