Reference Ballasts

Universal Lighting Industries manufactures reference ballasts for various gas discharge lamps, such as fluorescent, compact fluorescent, HPMV, HPSV, LPSV, and metal halide lamps. These are special ballasts conforming to stringent performance requirements, and having stable and repeatable characteristics. They are useful in evaluating the performance of the discharge lamps including the selection of reference lamps. The reference ballasts are also useful to a ballast manufacturer for evaluation of his product, as they make available directly the standard reference parameters against which the product can be compared. They are manufactured conforming to BIS, IEC, BS, and JIS specifications.
