Thermal Spraying Powders

Josh Alloys offers Thermal Spraying Powders. Features: unequalled abrasion - resistance; excellent edge-retention; outstanding weldability; resistance to oxidation; resists "softening effects" of high temperature or thermal cycling. Principal application: conveyor chain and mixer paddles. Recommendations: it is a tungsten carbide-bearing alloy providing superior weldability on flat and contoured surfaces, and providing coatings with a hardness of 57-64 RC (combined hardness of nickel-base matrix and carbide particles). Coatings are exceptionally wear-resistant against abrasive media (such as sand, gravel, cement, etc.), thermal cycling, heat scaling and corrosion. Its coatings exhibit superb edge buildup characteristics especially where retention is critical to the performance of the part or tool. Recommended on steels, stainless steels, cast iron and nickel alloys. Hardness: 57-64 RC (combined hardness of evenly distributed tungsten carbide particles in nickel-base matrix).
