Tungsten Carbide grits are used in manufacturing of special brazing rods which find application in manufacturing, repair, welding of oil drilling rigs and mining equipment.

- The size of tips used are (-6.5+4.8 mm), (-4.8+3.2 mm), (-3.2+1.5 mm) and the fine grits i.e. (16 to 40 mesh) are used for manufacturing of carbide wraps
- These grits have sharp cutting edges and very high hardness for 72RC; these grits are casted in German silver matrix, and
- Tungsten carbide grits are also used in protecting machinery and its parts by providing an increase in life of the machine parts and hence reducing the downtime of machine, thus reducing the cost involved.
