Cobalt Compounds

Cobalt stays magnetic to the maximum temperature of all the magnetic elements. These compounds are in alloys used with corrosion/wear resistant uses and in alloys for aircraft engine parts. Further, these compounds are used in electroplating and batteries. Also known as ceruleum, new blue, cobalt blue, smalt, cobalt yellow and cobalt green, these compounds are also used for coloring porcelain, glass, pottery, tile and enamel.
