FORBES PHARMACEUTICAL offers Zinc Compounds. Zinc Compounds are soft metal and are always divalent. When heated to temperatures superior than 500 C, zinc volatilizes into small zinc oxide elements that quickly flocculate as they cool, forming fumes. These compounds are used as water-repellents, antiseptics, lubricants, fungicides, and for water-proofing papers, textiles, and concrete. Obtained from ore, these compounds are brittle at ambient temperatures but are malleable at 100 to 150°C. It is relatively poor conductor of electricity and heat.
