Chemicals for Cyanide Effluent Treatment

Chloriten, a specially formulated sodium hypochlorite based chemical is extremely useful for the process of total destruction of simple and complex cyanides. Industrial waste waters emanating from electroplating plants, heat treatment plants and cyanides in simple and complex forms are totally neutralised into carbon dioxide and nitrogen by oxidation process, by addition of calculated dosage of Chloriten. It is a liquid and the percentage of available chlorine ranges from 7 % to 9 % depending upon the process requirements. It is a highly alkaline, pale yellow liquid, having strong smell of chlorine. It is non flammable, non toxic and non hazardous. It has a property of undergoing photo chemical decomposition and hence shall be stored in closed jars, away from sunlight. Chloriten is stable for 60 90 days under recommended conditions of storage.
