These are assembled with flat tempered reflex glass with a bar steel chamber and steel cover. 90° prismatic serrations are cut into the liquid contact surface of reflex glass to give a prism effect over the whole visual area. Reflex gauges are particularly popular for use on miscellaneous steam-water level indication services because they furnish black and white readings. Reflex gauges are not recommended for observation of liquid colour and high pressure steam application. The operational pressure and temperature range from 0-100 kg/cm2 and 0-250°C respectively.
