Digital Coating Thickness Gauge

MRK Engineers offers an advanced FNF Coating Thickness Gauge, which is perfectly suited for measuring the thickness of paint and coating including powder coating on all types of metal substrates. Compact and durable with a large display and a built in probe, this gauge is well-suited for single hand use. It measures coating on both ferrous as well as non-ferrous substrates such as aluminium, brass, etc. The gauge auto senses the substrate under the coating and will switch automatically to the ferrous or non-ferrous mode. It has a ‘flip screen’ function that allows the user to turn the gauge through 180° so that it can be used upside down for reading at different angles. This is used for measurement range up to 0 to 50 mil or 0 to 1250µ (microns) with accuracy of ±(0.1 mils +3%) or ±(2 µ +3%). The resolution will be 1um or 0.1 mil. This will keep memory of 10 readings. The instrument/gauge weight is 0.15 kg. Coatings that can be measured on ferrous substrates: steel, aluminium, brass, bronze, ceramic, chrome, copper, epoxy galvanising, lacquer, paint, plastic, plating, powder (cured), rubber, tin, varnish, zinc; and on each non ferrous substrate: aluminium – anodising, epoxy, lacquer, paint, plastic, rubber, varnish; brass – epoxy, lacquer, paint, plastic powder (cured) varnish; bronze – epoxy, lacquer, paint, plastic, powder (cured) varnish; copper – epoxy, lacquer, paint, plastic, powder (cured) varnish; stainless steel – epoxy, lacquer, paint, plastic, powder (cured) varnish; and zinc – epoxy, lacquer, paint, plastic, powder (cured) varnish. The portable instrument is operated with battery.
