US-based Scientific Technologies Inc (STI) has developed the Opto Fence OF4600-50 safety light curtain system, which features individual beam indicators for simplified alignment a start/restart interlock operating mode ideal for perimeter guarding applications. The compact OF4600?50 is a simple ?two?box design with control reliable circuitry housed in the receiver and transmitter, requiring no separate control box. No cable is required between the transmitter and receiver. Exact channel select allows for permanently blocked beams in the detection zone and two solid state safety outputs provide 500 mA of current at 24 V DC. This safety light curtain system provides 2.0 inch (53 mm) resolution, 80 foot (24 metre) range and is available in protected heights ranging from 27 to 69 inch (700 to 1741 mm). The OF4600?50 offers two PNP safety outputs designed to directly switch machine primary control elements, as well as one NPN non-safety output. Additional features include choice of operating modes, MPCE monitoring, in?line connector cables and adjustable mounting brackets.
