Safety Light Curtains Compact, Features-Inclusive

Scientific Technologies Inc (STI, introduces the MS4600-30 Safety Light Curtain System. This compact, features-inclusive system is a simple 'two-box 'design - control reliable circuitry is housed in the receiver and transmitter, requiring no separate control box. Individual beam indicators simplify alignment, and the ability to select automatic start and start/restart interlock modes allows the MS4600-30 to be configured for either point-of-operation or perimeter guarding applications. MPCE monitoring is required for control reliable safety, and is built into the MS4600-30. In-line connector cables and adjustable mounting brackets allow the MS4600-30 to fit into space-restrictive locations with simplified installation, and no cable is required between the transmitter and receiver. Additional features include: 1.18 inch (30 mm) resolution; 65 foot (20 metre) range; protected heights from 13.8 to 82.6 inches (351 to 2095 mm); two PNP safety outputs; one NPN non-safety output; exact channel select; floating blanking; and choice of operating mode. Two solid-state safety outputs provide 500 mA of current at 24 V DC, and an optional Device Net interface allows an MS4600-30 system to communicate non-safety related data across this fieldbus.
