Scientific Technologies Inc (STI), introduces MiniSafe MS4700 Series safety light curtains. This safety light curtain system is of a simple three box design and is unique due to its superior response time (as fast as 8 msec) and excellent resolution (as high as 12 mm). The speed and resolution allow this light curtain to be mounted closer to the danger points of hazardous operation. Ideally suited to applications such as automated production machines, the MS4700 series transmitter and receiver can be mounted in crowded locations where a standard connector would not fit. The controller end of the cable is not terminated, which allows the length to be easily shortened in the field. For simple alignment, the MS4700 features individual Beam Indicator Lights covered by US and international patents. Providing protected heights from 3.94 to 70.87 inches (100 to 1798 mm), this features inclusive safety light curtain includes exact channel select, floating blanking, restart interlock and MPCE monitoring. Additional features include: in line connector cables; adjustable mounting brackets; machine test signal; auxiliary outputs; two PNP outputs; two digit display diagnostic; and optional DeviceNet interface.
