Insulation Materials

Sahney Kirkwood offers Insulation Materials. It has a very low thermal conductivity of 0.20 W/m. Lower the thermal conductivity, better is the degree of thermal insulation. Thus, for the same sheet thickness, the material gives a lower temperature on the body of the press as compared to conventional asbestos based materials. It increases the efficiency. Also the oil seals require less frequent replacement, ram remains cooler and oil viscosity is maintained. It has a maximum temperature resistance up to 500 C, hence can be used for high temperature pressing operation also. It has a compressive strength of minimum 3000 kg/ cm2, hence suitable for high tonnage presses also. It is a mica based product, totally asbestos free.
