Hofmann Engg & Mktg offers Ceratuff high alumina ceramic lined equipment for highly wear prone applications in coal fired power generation, mining, cement, steel, mineral processing industries. This is designed to meet exacting requirement in a cost effective manner. The choice of high alumina product ensures excellent wear and corrosion resistant properties. The company offers services for application development including material selection, lining design, fabrication and installation. Alumina shape, and size shall be designed to suit the final application of the equipment. The installation liner is done by high alumina based wear resistant bonding material and/or welding. The hardness of Ceratuff is next to diamond, which ensures extremely hard and wear resistant material. It can last longer than any other conventional material to take abuse of bulk material handling. In addition, it retains its highly wear resistant properties at high temperature. Ceratuff is also inert to all most all chemicals, thus providing excellent corrosion resistant in the long run in various application, minimises down time, maintenance, product cost, maximise productivity, performance and profit. Properties, Ceratuff90-Ceratuff 99: content – 90%-99.5%; colour – white-ivory; density –3.60-3.89 gm/cc; hardness – 79-83 R45N; surface finish – 1.60-0.9µ; water absorption – nil-nil; compressive strength – 3 000-2600 kg/cm²; tensile strength – 2250-2250 kg/cm²; corrosion resistant – mg/cm² day with 95% H2SO4 @20oC, 0.03-0.01; and max temperature – 1000-1500°C.
