FlexLink offers Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) designed to respond quickly and efficiently to the rapidly changing production requirements. The solution is a vertically built framework with a built-in fully automated manipulator loading/unloading solution. The platform can be used in different standard functions, for example intelligent buffering, balancing of process flow, kitting, test, and burn-in solutions or as storage for different items.
The Automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) is controlled by an SFM program, operating in the following modes:
- Production buffering, dynamically solving bottleneck problems during maintenance or production peaks.
- Sorting, temporary FIFO storage using several input and output places until batch completion.
- Kitting, storage of component, tools and fixtures enabling zero set-up and minimal changeover times.
- Storing, storing products for a preset time for drying, cooling, heating, or ageing (burn-in).
- Product testing, efficient testing equipment utilization through automated and parallel 24/7 testing, with different phases in the same buffer.
- Intelligent multifunctional system with small footprint.
