Photoelectric Sensor, Cylindrical

Autonics has a wide range of cylindrical photoelectric sensors. BR series is one with M18 cylindrical dimension. There are two types of sensors in BR series – diffuse reflective type and through-beam type sensors. Diffuse type is available with 100 and 400 mm sensing ranges. Through beam type is available with 20 mtr and 4 mtr sensing ranges. Sensitivity adjustment is possible for the diffuse type with a potentiometer, so that the detection of objects further away can be avoided. These are working with 12-24 V DC. The light source is modulated infrared, so is immune to the sunlight. Also the infrared sensor is having less discrimination between white and black targets compared with the visible light. Light On/Dark On is selectable using the control wire for diffuse type. For through beam series the Light On/Dark On models are separately available. PNP and NPN open collector outputs are available in this series. The sensor is short circuit and reverse polarity protected, with IP66 protection. The Auto
