Minature Photoelectric Sensor

Autonics Corporation has a wide range of miniature photoelectric sensors for space constrained areas. The BJ series sensors are of three types: Diffuse type, Retro reflective type with polarization filter and Through beam type. This is a one chip IC and minimises the disturbance light with high performance lens. Long detecting range of 15/10 mtr is available in the through beam type; 3 mtr range in retro reflective type; and 1 mtr/300 mm are available in the diffuse reflective type. Mutual interference protection is available in the diffuse and retro types, which prevents cross talk with each other. It can be worked with a power supply of 12-24 V DC. Both PNP and NPN outputs are available from the same sensor. Features: IP67 rating, water proof with rubber injection; easy to mount with micro and compact design; dimension – 20 x 10.6 x 32 mm; light On/dark On changeover is possible in the same sensor; sensitivity is adjustable with a potentiometer; reverse polarity and short circuit protected, so safe in case of any mal-connection; LEDs for the indication of the power and output; available with 2 mtr cable; minimises influence of any obstructive light, realised high reliability by world’s best class detecting performance in various working environments, enabled by its unique superior optical lens; in-built amplifier, so can be placed in a congested place inside the machine; fast response time of 1 msec; can draw a current of maximum 100 mA; and mounting brackets and reflectors are available. Typical applications are in bottling plants for the detection of bottles, on conveyors for detecting the cartons, in pharmaceutical industry for the detection of small tablets, in food and beverage industry for the detection of label on transparent bottles, to automise the conveyors, detection of the broken drills, and detection of transparent bottles. All these sensors are CE marked.
