Anti-Crane Collision Sensor

The Anti-Crane Collision Sensor, ACC 03, is used for two overhead cranes on the same rail. This unit when installed prevents accidents caused due to the collision of two cranes on the same rail & thus the damage caused due to this is saved. With this unit, minimum distance in between two cranes will always be maintained, and the cranes will be able to move away from each other but not closer. This unit has built Infra Red Transmitter & Receiver along with other processing circuit and power supply. It works on 220 volts AC supply and offers potential free relay contacts. These contacts are interlocked with the contactor for direction of motion towards each other. Set consists of a control unit and a reflector out of which control unit is fixed on one crane and the reflector on the other crane opposite to the unit such that the rays transmitted by the Transmitter will be reflected back by the Reflector. A Laser alignment tool is provided for perfect alignment of control unit and reflector. The receiver will pick up the reflected beam when both the cranes come closer. Similarly, another set is fixed but unit on the other crane and reflector on the earlier. When both the crane comes within the range, the moving crane will be immediately stopped. This range can be adjusted as required.
