- Despite of this fact, available platforms on the market for research purposes are very few in number, and limited in their capability for multi-purpose use. Obviously, purchasing new platforms for different applications is not a feasible solution for conducting research.Â
- The company has a new series of multi-purpose mobile platforms useful for indoor and outdoor applications with unique omni-directional mobility and unmatched payload capabilities.Â
- X-Terrabot is available in two variants. X-Terrabot Omni has a wheel base is a unique four wheel drive mobile platform with each wheel independently steered. With this capability, the robot can move omni-directionally unlike other standard four wheeled robots. With the help of such advanced suspension systems, X-Terrabot omni can also move over carpets and small bumps when used indoor and on levelled roads in outdoor applications. X-Terrabot Mecanum has a four wheel drive mobile platform with mecanum wheels. It has a split mount platform suitable for mounting two manipulators and simultaneously other accessories. These platforms are on a slider base which can extend outwards whenever required to increase the work envelop of the arms.
