Tough TouchPLC – Integrated HMI With Modular I/O

AVG Electronics offers Tough TouchPLC – an integrated HMI with Modular I/O. A product of the Uticor Division of AVG, this is claimed to be the first and only integrated HMI with modular I/O built-in. Tough TouchPLC can operate from –20°C to 60°C, 5% to 95% humidity and having 1 lakh hours of white LED based backlight. The concept of a flexible and modular PLC built inside touch panel has resonated very well on the Indian sub-continent. The 6” HMI can have up to 48 modular plug-in I/O points whereas 8” and larger HMI can have up to 64 modular plug-in I/O points. Tough TouchPLCs can be expanded up to 2048 I/O points. I/O can be a combination of digital, analog, thermocouple, RTD, high speed counter, PWM, etc. Tough TouchPLC has excellent communication capability to Profibus, DeviceNet, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP and Ethernet IP. This comes in a single-piece housing that includes a hinged translucent cover at the back for the protection of electronic circuits inside the TouchPLC. The Tough TouchPLC can be programmed through a 9-pin RS232 port on the Touchpanel itself. The programming software is also integrated into one package that allows use of the same database for Touchpanel and PLC functionalities.
