Autonics offers PID Temperature Controllers, TZN. These controllers are offers dual PID auto tuning to avoid the oscillations when the process value changes and also avoid the steady state error. PID can be set as PIDH-high speed PID or as slow speed -PIDS. Where the need is to reach the desired value fast, high speed (PIDH) should be used. For minimising overshoot, low speed (PIDS) response should be used. 13 kinds of inputs can be connected to the PID controller. These are thermocouples, RTDs, and current/voltage inputs. The outputs are in the form of relay, SSR, current and RS485 communication output (PV, SV). 4-20 mA retransmission output for recording also is available form the controller. Apart from these outputs, there are alarm outputs SBA (Sensor break Alarm) and LBA (Loop break alarm). The SBA alarm turn on when the sensor line is cut or open. LBA function is to diagnose an abnormal temperature of the control system. If the temperature of the control system is not changed within ±2 degree centigrade during setting time of LBA, the LBA output will be on. These displays the process value and setting value in 7-segment LED display. The PID can be hooked to the 100 to240 V AC or as an option to 24 V AC/24 to 48 V DC power supply. The programming is simple and can be achieved by the push buttons on the controller. Different sizes of controllers are available with 48 x 48, 48 x 96, 96 x 48, and 72 x 72, 96 x 96 mm. On/Off, P, PI, PD, PIDF, PIDS control types are possible. Decimal point is also selected for the analogue value. 32 controllers can be multi dropped on single RS485 MODBUS and can be connected to the PLC. Hysteresis can be adjusted from 1 to 100. With these PID controllers excellent temperature control is possible. The company also offers the model TZ.
