PID Controller

Nippon Instruments, an ISO 9001-2000 company, has introduced a truly universal, powerful PID Controller with in-house design. The PID 2020 Series is developed with state-of-the-art microcontrollers with robust hardware and software, which makes it very useful in noisy industrial environment. It can accept all types of thermocouples, RTDs, linear mA and mV, DC voltages as input. A powerful PID algorithm and Autotune facility is embedded in the product. Three outputs are provided for total control solution. PID can be assigned to Output 1 and 2. Control modes are Heat/Cool/Heat-Cool and also Manual. The control outputs 4-20 mA, 0-1 VDC, SSR, relay makes the product more users friendly. Versatile Alarms are assigned to output 2 and 3. One retransmission output with forward and reverse facility can be configured for output 2 or 3. Soak timer can be programmed with set point start up or power on start up. The instrument is provided with RS485 Modbus for PC connectivity. Modbus is available with RTU or ASCII. The baud rate is programmable. The SMPS power supply supports 90-260 V AC/V DC. The hardware and software filters make PID2020 noise proof. The modular design is housed in 72 (H) x 72 (W), 96 (H) x 96 (W) plastic box. The product is also available in flameproof/weatherproof/wall mounting and pipe mounting enclosures. The PID2020 finds application in industrial ovens, muffle furnaces, BOD incubators, humidity chambers, environmental chambers, sterilizers, blood bank equipments, constant temperature baths, packaging, plastic moulding, thyristor heater controllers, motor controllers, controlled melting, valve control, etc.
