Nippon Instruments, an ISO 9001-2000 company has introduced Nippon-2020F, a digital Temperature Indicator/Controller in flameproof enclosure for hazardous atmosphere of class IIA & IIB. The degree of protection is IP 55 as per IS 2148/1981, the housing approved by CMRS, Dhanbad. The enclosure is made of aluminium alloy LM-6 and weighs approx 5 kg. Four cable entries of 3/4 inch ET are provided. The clear toughened glass of type A gives clear visibility of display. The instrument can virtually accept all inputs like thermocouples, RTDs, 4-20 mA, 0-1 V DC, etc. The range will be factory set as per the specifications. The set point is configured by 1 set of pushbutton and potentiometer. The relay rated 230 V, 6 A is provided for controls. Nippon-2020F can work in heater or cooler logic. The dead band of 2°C is factory set. The instrument can be used as process indicator cum controller. It has 3-1/2 digit display with 12.5 mm height and red colour. The circuit is designed with high performance OPAMPS, rugged power supply and heavy-duty relay for excellent accuracy and trouble free performance. The company also offers indicator cum controllers with 1 and 2-inch height for easy readability from longer distance. The retransmission output of 4-20 mA is available on request. Nippon 2020F finds applications in chemical, pharmaceutical, fertilizer, oil plants and many other industries.
