Co-Axial Cables for CATV Networks are processed by high speed state-of-the-art machinery with European technology. Precision, consistency, repeatability and stringent quality control are the hallmarks of the process. The central conductor is made of 99.97% pure solid electrolytic grade copper conductor, which has distinct advantages over traditional copper conductor. Previously normal copper wires were commonly used, since copper provides the best path for the radio frequency (tone) to travel on. The downside to a solid copper wire as a conductor is that the malleability of the material is too great; this limits its tensile strength. This limited tensile strength can present problems if the wire is being pulled in during boring installations or when back filling an open trench. The central conductor is made of 99.97% pure solid electrolytic grade copper conductor, which has distinct advantages over traditional copper conductor. The insulation provided over the conductor is of foam PE which acts as a dielectric. Aluminium Mylar tape is provided over the insulated conductor to shield the conductor and ensure disturbance free transmission of signals. The braiding provided is of 60% coverage of ATC (Annealed tinned copper).
