Descaling System, Inline

Assomac Machines Ltd offers an Inline Descaling System, acid free technology for wire rod cleaning inline with wire drawing process. Various equipment options are available with different combination of inline reverse bending mechanical descaler having 3/4/5/6 chrome carbide coated bending rolls, motorised wire brush cleaning of wire rod post descaling for ultra clean surface at 90°/ 60°/ 45° contact angle. Optional inline water wash cleaning, borax coating and dryer, is available. Multi plane bending over the carbide rolls results in cracking and breaking of fragile steel oxides from the surface of the rod. Steel wire brushing immediately after bending rolls completely removes surface scales and leaves wire surface clean. The distance between steel wire brushes is adjustable to keep close contact with wire surface. Models with automatic brush adjustment are also available. The rotating die box with motorised soap applicator is recommended at first one or two blocks, followed by motorised soap applicators on all or certain blocks to enable a continuous good lubricant carry over on wire surface. The system permits production rates equal to those obtained from acid cleaned and traditionally coated rod. All mild steel rods, welding wire 70S6 rods, medium carbon and alloy wire rods can be processed without using acid and pre-coating chemicals.
