Voltage Auto Transformers

SEECO offers Power-O-Stat, a continuously variable auto transformer, a device that delivers the voltage from 0 to 270 V in single phase and 0 to 470 in 3-phase continuously, without any break in output voltage. These are available in various capacities like 2, 4, 8, 10, 15, 28, 50, 60, 100, 150 and 200 A. These capacities are manufactured for single and three phase units. In single phase, from 2 to 100 A, only one core is used and is above 100 to 200 A. Two units in parallel are used. For three phase units up to 100 A, three units are tandem mounted with the common shaft that drives the carbon for three cores simultaneously giving equal voltage across each phase. Above 100 A, 6 cores are employed and they are mechanically arranged in such a way that across each phase, they deliver equal voltages. In a three phase, the units are rated for 415 V, 3-phase with output 0-470 V, 50/60 Hz. Motor driven Power-O-Stats are very useful, where the remote control is necessary. A stepper synchronous motor is used (this is also being manufactured by us) having instantaneous start and stop reversible characteristics with suitable reduction gear. Depending on the application, the company supplies different types of gears, so that the full sweep is achieved within 5, 8, 15 seconds etc. The units are also provided with suitable capacity limit switches, so that the brush arm may not over ride the end points
