Electronic Cam Switch Unit

ECAM-21 is an electronic cam switch unit used in press automation and control. The current position of press is sensed by a resolver and 16 programmable cam outputs are generated. The unit also offers features like timed outputs, advance clutch output, activation of outputs after defined revolutions in the program. Features: 16 outputs with On and Off angle programmable; each output can be set On twice in one rotation; each output can be programmed as timed output; resolver interface suitable up to 1000 SPM, absolute position offers high level of safety; activation of outputs after programmed number of revolutions; display of crank angle and crank position; display of stroke counter; 2 x 16 characters LCD display; display of crank angle, crank position, stroke counter and SPM on LED display for distant viewing; compact size; galvanically isolated inputs and outputs; absolute/relative mode for crank angle datum setting; 1000 die recipes can be stored which enables fast die change over; and auto advance computation for clutch brake actuation. Specifications: supply – 18 to 30 V DC, 500 mA for control power; position transducer resolver – measures absolute cam position; cam angle resolution – 1-degree measurement; inputs – 16 no.’s, 24 V DC, sinking type with galvanic isolation; outputs – 16 no.’s, 24 V DC, 100 mA, sourcing type, isolated; 1 dedicated output for top stop; 1 output can be assigned for batch over; 14 programmable cam outputs; dimensions – approx 138 (H) x 260 (W) x 100 mm (D); and display –16 characters, 2 rows LCD display.
