Electronic Cam Switch Unit

Asia Automation’s Electronic Cam Switch (ECAM – absolute position/resolver interface) is an electronic version of mechanical cam limit switch. It gives 16 angle dependent outputs as per programmed degrees by the user. Position feedback of the shaft is given by the resolver (resolver is to be coupled to the shaft through flexible coupling). The use of this unit reduces the complexity and time involved in actual adjustment of mechanical cams with the help of spanner. This unit not only provides the angle dependent outputs but also some additional advance features, which are not available with mechanical cam limit switch. The ECAM is suitable for press automation and for other machineries where angle dependent outputs are required. Resolver is preferred than encoder due to its ruggedness, reliability and sustainability to machine vibrations. Similarly it’s absolute position feedback offers high level of safety. Features: each output can be made On/Off twice in one rotation; each output can be programmed as a timed output; activation of outputs after programmed number of revolutions; display of crank angle, crank position, SPM and stroke counter; absolute/relative mode for crank angle datum setting; one dedicated output for clutch to maintain the TDC; thousand die recipes can be stored; one output can be used as a batch counter; this unit can be used only as a ECAM or as a press controller for C-type presses – as a press controller it covers all standard features like inch/once/continuous modes, top stop, anti repeat, take over, machine lubrication, etc; LCD display – 2 x 16 characters; and dimensions – 138 (H) x 260 (W) x 100 mm (D).
