Earth Leakage Relay

Earth leakage current gives rise to temperature and result in insulation failure which may lead to fires and destroys costly instruments. Hence it is necessary to detect earth leakage separately, as over current and short circuit protection devices are not designed for that. We designed such earth leakage relays with core balance current transformers ( CBCT ) which detects the level of current present and trips the devices at set at time interval.

The main features include status indication, power on and trip indication with LED, Relay ok with test push button, 230 V AC or 415 V AC operated with contact rated 6 amps with 1 NO + 1 NC, panel mounting type, CBCT standard internal diameter of CBCT is 40, 70, 100, 200, 300, 400 mm etc … etc. This can be used in switchgear industries, distribution systems, generator sets, control panel, building management, utility power monitoring, process control, motor protection, transformer protection and many more. Micro controller based earth leakage relay is also available in panel mounting type.
