Current relay

Absolute Instrumentation offers a current relay, Type ACR52K02, incorporating fully solid state circuitory with one changeover and one no contact relay output. Input current is detected and is compared with reference voltage. Output of comparator drives the relay which controls the external circuit. There are two settings, viz, current setting and differential setting. With current setting, current can be set from 0% and 200% of the rated current (other settings as required can be offered). The differential current setting can be adjusted to 50% to 100% of the set current. When current exceeds the set value, relay energises and is latched in this state till current goes below the value decided by the differential setting. For example, rated input current is 5 A, current is set at 150% and differential current is set at 75%, then relay will be set at 7.5 A of the input current and will reset only when current falls below 5.6 A. An LED indication is also provided when current is above the set value or relay is in latched condition. This relay has wide applications in control of pilot motor of rotor starters, motorised actuators, dampers, dynamic resistances, etc. These are available from microamperes to several thousand amperes in AC or DC version.
