Garg Distributors offers the Tibcon range of heavy-duty power capacitors. Compact model heavy-duty capacitors are robust electrical devices that are fast replacing conventional capacitor design due to advantages like price and size economy, easy availability, low operational cost and long life. The basic design of these capacitors derives the advantage of series connection of elements, whereby the effective voltage stress on capacitor element is reduced by up to 50%. For example, when the applied voltage on capacitor is 440 V AC, the effective voltage stress on the elements will be around 220 V AC. This reduced voltage stress on the element ensures reliability of the product and make them capable to withstand high voltage and current surges. Compact model heavy-duty capacitors are extensively used in forging shops, foundries, steel re-rolling mills, power generation and distribution installations, paper/sugar industries and other heavy industries. They are suitable for operation under abnormal load conditions. Compact model normal duty capacitors are also available for normal duty applications like irrigation, pumping and sewage stations, residential applications, etc. Features: MPP film – heavy edge zinc/aluminium metallisation, excellent self healing property, dry construction – encapsulated with biodegradable soft resin that gives perfect environment protection to the elements, electrical safety – no hazard of oil leakage, discharge resistor is fitted externally, provision for earthing with every unit.
