FIBREGLASS RESISTORS & ASSEMBLY

Enapros offers Fibreglass Resistors & Assembly. In fibreglass resistors, resistive element of nickel-chromium or nickel-iron or other resistive alloy is wound on fibreglass cord. Ends of wounded fibreglass cord are crimped to obtain a resistive value. Terminals of these crimped cords are then riveted to form a fibreglass resistor. Fibreglass resistors assembly: in these resistors, modules of fibreglass resistors are assembled to form a higher wattage resistor. Then the resistors are enclosed in a power coated metal enclosures. Features: low cost and lightweight; low operating temperature; and extremely efficient if used with fan. Application: best suitable for load banks and inverters. Characteristics: temperature range: -55°C to +200°C; insulation resistance - 20M W minimum; dielectric strength - depends on the insulators; temperature coefficient - ± 50 ppm to 260 ppm/°C; short time overload; 10 x wattage rating - 5 seconds; and load life - wattage rating 1.5h on, min off for 100h.
