Vehicle Communication System

The Vehicle Communication System is an embedded system developed for intelligent transportation system that will rely on several vehicle communication systems including peer-to-peer and peer-to-base station communications. Drivers can roam between their cellular phone network and their in-vehicle network. Data access and synchronization happen automatically and transparently. TRAC is a cutting edge GSM/GPRS based vehicle mount tracking module with an integral GPS system and a powerful microprocessor. The module functions using SMS commands/ GPRS based internet enabling. The module is a compact rugged design, which is ideal for extreme environmental conditions, and its universal serial connection to allow the modem to connect to virtually any device with a serial port. The modem (GSM/GPRS - Quad Band) operates on the 850/900/1800/1900 MHz frequency ranges.
