Fibre Optic Control Unit With Pushbutton Response

Leuze Electronic GmbH, specialists in optosensory equipment, introduces a new control unit (LVs 325) with microprocessor capability. Instead of using potentiometers, sensitivity can now by adjusted on site using two buttons. The tech-in function permits sensitivity adjustment to be performed simply and conveniently-- even running production. Using a parametrization interface, the unit is able to communicate directly with PC. All the required values, such as On/Off delay times, pulse frequency, interference filtration and the use of inputs and outputs, can be simply and conveniently adjusted with the aid of the software. The fibre optic control unit can be connected either to plastic or glass fibre optic cables. The high switching frequency of 1.5 kHz permits even small and fast moving objects to be reliably detected. An integrated time delay before availability prevents unwanted responses. The unit complies as standard with the requirements of protection class IP67 and all the relevant EMC regulations.
