Mikron offers several models of snap action automatic and manual reset disc thermal cutouts. These are designed for industrial, electronics and domestic electrical appliances such as vacuum cleaners, storage water geysers, coffee machines, electric kettles, food warmers, rice cookers, photocopying machines, microwave ovens, dish washers, electric blankets, heating pads, defrosters, thyristors, motors, vulcanizing machines, heat sinks, welders and where precise control of temperature is required. Rated at 6 A, 8 A, 10 A and 16 A, 250 V AC, the temperature range extends from 60(C to 150(C. The thermal response system operates by means of a snap action bimetal disc. The switch system is current insensitive and react to external thermal load. The snap action ensures chatter free operation, high switch performance and long service life. These are available in normally closed (NC) or normally open (NO) contacts.
