Star-Delta Starters

Maxel Starters offers a Star-Delta Starter. This hand operated oil immersed starter available with magnetic/bi-metallic relay, type MXMA 5-50, range 5 HP to 50 HP. Operation: to start the motor in "Star" position, push the green button and hold it for 10 to 15 seconds; while holding the green push button, turn the handle in the sequence as indicated on the plate of handle and release the green push button. To stop the motor, press red push button. The starter is housed in a cast alloy and deep drawn steel sheet body and comprises of one contactor, one magnetic overload relay and star delta operating switches. Contacts are made of electrolytic copper and moving contacts are reversible type and can be used from both the sides. Salient features: cast iron housing and CR sheet steel oil tanks pre-treated and elegantly powder coated; silver coated electrolytic copper contacts for high conductivity and life operation; making and breaking of contacts under oil for quick quenching of arc; individually, tested magnetic overload relays for total protection of motors; and tested as per IS: 13947 part 4 sec 1.
