Star-delta starter

Star-delta starters from Andrew Yule & Company Limited give protection against overload, single phasing and locked rotor conditions of motors. The device has wall mounting (projection type) sturdy sheet steel enclosure with attractive bi-colour painting. Lower part of the enclosure or case houses contactor, relay, timer, terminal block, main elements of push buttons with ferrule marked wiring whereas the upper part of enclosure or cover houses push button actuators with start/stop indications and name-plate. Mechanical life of the push buttons is 10 million operations. The cover is also provided with gasket to prevent entry of dust/vermin. The air-break contractors have the capability to operate at low pick-up and dropout control voltages. Relays are provided with hand-reset mechanism. All the bi-metallic overload relays have the ambient temperature-compensating device to compensate effect of ambient temperature for operation between -20 and 60 degree C. Timer is provided for controlling the time during changeover from Star to Delta. Pneumatic timers are available for larger variations of time in seconds whereas electronic timers are used where the changeover time required is small. These starters are also offered as per customer?s specifications.
