Soft Starters

Jeltron Systems offers Soft Starters, DS4 Series. These are the latest generation of micro controller based motor management and protection systems for operating squirrel cage AC induction motors. The soft start and stop provides a linear power ramp for smooth, stepless acceleration-reducing inrush current and the excessive wear on mechanical drive train components. Fast system payback can be realised by reduced maintenance, downtime and energy savings. Design features: RISC micro controller based, reduces inrush current, reduces downtime; real time energy control, diagnostic display; improves power factor; program through keyboard; feather touch keys for parameter setting; 20 characters two line LCD display; over/under current and instant current trip; 12t fuse, single phasing, phase in sequence over/under load trip selectable; over/under voltage trip selectable; and heat sink over temperature, shorted SCR protection. These are available from 1 to 1000 hp for three-phase, 415 V, 50 Hz, AC squirrel cage induction motors.
