Soft Starter

Jeltron Systems offers a low cost, solid state soft starter, Model LC4. This is for soft start control of standard 3-phase AC squirrel cage induction motors. It provides adjustable starting torque and stepless acceleration. An optional adjustment for deceleration as well as kick-start is available. This is thyris- tor based reduced voltage soft starter suitable for all kinds of loads. It reduces inrush current by as much as 70% which can eliminate light dimming, power disturbances and voltage transients within the power distribution system. This also greatly reduces wear and tear on power transmission components and prevents product breakage and spillage. Starting torque can be adjusted from 0% to 80% and soft start time 60 seconds. These starters have in-built protections like dv/dt networks, transient voltage suppressor (MOV), single phasing, adjustable torque, adjustable time to start, SCR short, over vltage, under voltage, over current, under current, motor absent, run relay control, etc. Optional features include soft stop, kick-start and dual ramp.
