Direct-on-line starters

Direct-on-line starters from Andrew Yule & Company Limited have capacity ranging from 0.5 HP (0.37 kW) to 200 HP (150 kW) at 415V, three phase. These starters are made for operation with AC motors. They offer complete motor protection against overload and single phasing. These are enclosed in wall mounting (projection type) sturdy sheet steel enclosures. Sturdy designed push buttons with red colour actuator for 'stop' and green colour actuator for 'start' is provided. Use of complete push button for starting and stopping ensures better safety for the motors. Silver cadmium oxide main contacts, silver alloy auxiliary contacts and protector ensure long life and high capability of jogging operation. Relays are provided with hand-reset mechanism, which if required, can be easily converted into automatic reset type. All the bi-metallic overload relays are provided with ambient temperature compensating device to compensate effect of ambient temperature for operation between 20 and 60 degree Celsius. The auxiliary contacts are resistant to vibration and thus protect the circuit reliably without any chattering. Contacts are made of fine silver with gold plating and have high conductivity even at low voltage of 24V.
