Contactors

Curtis/Albright offers a family of miniature direct current contactors and solenoid switches between 30 A relays and 100 A contactors. The new PC60, MB60 and SW60 series have two primary advantages: they are price competitive with relays, and designed with a small footprint making them ideal for telecommunication and power conversion applications. Curtis/Albright miniature DC contactors have thermal current ratings up to 80 A, according to application, and can be used for switching DC voltages up to 120 A. The family is divided into two distinct branches, each with its own selection of variations and options. The PC60 Series are printed circuit board mountable, while the MB60 Series are mounting base mountable (the base is soldered to the board). The SW60 Series are freestanding contactors, which are configured more conventionally and also can be assembled in pairs with the appropriate connecting links. There are various options available, including a protected version to inhibit penetration of moisture or other contaminants. Also, new to the product line are two options - magnetically latched and coil chopped contactors - designed to drastically reduce power consumption of coils. These options are available for all Curtis/Albright contactors.
